One of the AWCT's most important facets is giving back to our community in the Frankfurt area & to international causes. The 2010 Annual AWCT Spring Charity Event to benefit Höchst, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit raised 35,369 Euros. Our goal together with Höchst Hospital was to buy a General Electric Giraffe Incubator. The main event of the evening was the Silent Auction which consisted of weekend and extended trip get-aways, porcelain, resturant/bar vouchers, and much, much, more. Thank you to all our sponsors and members for helping make the evening a success!
In addition to the AWCT Spring Charity Event, AWCT members held a Toy Drive which collect new toys, books, games, and stuff animals for the children that will be in Children's Hospital Höchst hospital during Christmas time.The AWCT is a busy club, with a big heart.
What causes do we support locally and internationally?
FAWCO Charities: "Networks", where the focus is on Malaria and purchasing treated mosquito nets for villages in Africa, and "One Member One Tree" in response to the United Nation's Program, "Plant for the Planet.
 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure: AWCT annually has a team to race.
Höchst Hospital (Frankfurt): In 2007, received an incubator for the pre-natel department.
Beratungsstelle Frankfurt: Helps people receive the therapy and support needed via personal counseling.
 Vita e.V.Assistanzhunde: Trains and provides guide dogs to improve the quality of life for people in need of assistance with every day living. Beneficiary in 2009 for €20,670.
Lebenshilfe Frankfurt: Assist the mentally handicapped to ensure a higher quality of life.
The Frankfurter Tafel: Provides people with shelter and food.
Haus Louise Nursing Home: Annual Christmas Party.
 AIDS-Hilfe: AIDS Awareness Ribbon for the Guiness Book of World Records in Frankfurt.
How do we support our Members?
 A Neighborhood Welcome: "Mutti" is the German term of endearment for Mother, Muttis help answer questions that new members may have about life here in Germany. The neighbor coordinator will introduce you to local events taking place in your neighborhood and explain various different ways to get involved in the Club.
 CARES: CARES provides contact information for English speaking Health Care Professionals, physicians, dentists, psychologists, attorneys, tax advisors, pet services.
 The Annual AWCT Fall Festival benefits the American Women's Club of the Taunus e.V. This Annual event raises money for the AWCT so that we may continue to provide support and resources to newly relocated families and those of us who call Frankfurt home.
